The infrared camera makes the body's heat patterns visible in colour in a completely safe and painless way, to one hundredth of a degree. From these heat patterns doctors can derive physiological changes in the body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/V-TeabbO_7A?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-GB&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Thermography can be used if, among other things, you already have;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you have a diagnosis, then thermography can provide additional information;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Finding unknown causes of pain, for example, so that further investigation can be carried out;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To detect early developing diseases before they cause symptoms;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To monitor the healing process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Blood flow in the skin is controlled by the sympathetic nervous system.<br>In healthy people the symmetrical skin tempertatures are stable and reproducible.<br>We bring this into focus by means of medical thermography with a temperature sensitivity of 0.1 \u2103.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Chest thermography<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, breast thermography is concerned with the physiological changes associated with breast pathology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thermografie-amsterdam.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/breastscan.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The specially trained physicians (thermologists) of the American College of Clinical Thermography (ACCT) use special software to read and interpret these digital images and have years of experience.<br>These doctors put their findings in a report, which you will receive from me by email approximately one week after the appointment.<br>This report contains a thermographic interpretation and a risk classification (including a Dutch translation), but no diagnosis.<br>See also the following blog post:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"\/en\/kennis-geeft-keuzes-wees-goed-geinformeerd-over-thermografie\/\">Knowledge gives choices, be well informed about thermography<\/a><\/p>\n<cite>Birgitte Brouwer<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Thermography Amsterdam is the only provider of thermography in the Netherlands that uses a patented method developed especially for this purpose. <a href=\"https:\/\/meditherm.com\/iris_640.html\">thermal camera,&nbsp;<\/a>not just for pretty pictures.<br>Much more important \"optimally reproducible photos\" in time!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Breast thermography is suitable for all women of all ages.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ideally, you should start monitoring your breast health around age 25<\/strong>.<br>One of the reasons we only receive a call for mammography at the age of 50 is because the breast tissue before that is still very dense (contains a lot of glandular tissue) and therefore does not provide clear images.<br>With thermography, it is possible to observe changes at an early stage. Your own doctor or specialist can, if desired, discuss further steps with you based on this information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Or even better, you start working proactively! This can be e.g. an ultrasound. In addition, I will then suggest an additional thermographic examination in the timeline suggested by the doctor in the report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Would you like to discuss the report further? Then use the link in the report's email to schedule a phone appointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Breast Thermography: Second visit for a baseline<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To create a baseline <strong>three months after the first thermogram<\/strong> made a second appointment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After which, after about a week, you will receive the second report from the doctor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Again, we will contact you personally first if necessary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What does thermography cost?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although I work with the most expensive thermography camera and the associated doctors' network of the ACCT, I have made it my personal mission to keep thermography as inexpensive as possible.<br><a href=\"\/en\/prijslijst-en-afspraak-maken\/\"><br>View the price list<br><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thermography is&nbsp;<strong>no substitute<\/strong>&nbsp;of other examinations such as mammography, ultrasound, MRI or self-examination but&nbsp;<strong>in addition<\/strong>.
