I think thermography is a good preventative alternative to mammography.
No x-rays and no pain, not even physical contact required.
Just a few heat shots are taken of your breasts in a quiet environment with friendly personal contact, one on one.
I have experienced the mammography 3 times, then I went looking for a painless alternative and the idea/feeling of getting X-rays all the time, literally bothered me, especially since it is a preventive examination.
That's when I came to thermography.
The fact that the thermal images can detect changing/growing cells because there is more nutrition, so more capillaries growing there which in turn means more heat, I find a convincing fact for myself to keep doing this preventive method as an alternative to mammography.
It is absolutely no guarantee that I will be able to prevent breast cancer, but it is a method that can reveal changes early on, without x-rays and without the pain of having your breasts squashed in the machine.
Unfortunately, the consultation is no longer covered by my health insurance.
I am willing to do this annually because breast cancer is common and therefore doing nothing is not an option.
